Traditionally, the weekend prior to Halloween in the community of Folsom is a busy one with a hoopla of family fall events.  This year was no exception with a busy Saturday throughout the community as little ones proudly put on their Halloween apparel to hit many of the festivities, one of which was Historic Folsom’s Annual “Festifall.”

Taking place up and down Historic Sutter Street and the surrounding areas, this event welcomed families to bring their little ones in their costumes for a family-friendly trick or treating experience with participating merchants throughout the district Saturday afternoon.

The event spanned from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. and the district was bustling with activity as thousands of folks walked the street, many of which were eager trick-or-treaters made their way to participating merchants who handed out candy to all of the festive visitors.  Nearly every Historic Folsom merchant participated this year. Many business owners even dressed up to join the fun.

In addition to trick-or-treating, the day featured a number of fun activities this year. Bayside Church of Folsom once again teamed up with the Folsom Historic District to present a safe and fun day for families just before Halloween.

The event culminated with dance performances by Cynthia’s Dance Studio on the amphitheater stage to entertain just before a crowd of little ones, and even some adults, made their way up on stage to participate in the Halloween Costume Contest.
