California-based franchise blends traditional Indian sweets with American favorites
A new dessert destination blending Indian flavors with classic American treats is preparing to open its doors at Palladio at Broadstone in Folsom.
Dumont Creamery & Cafe, an India-based dessert and coffee franchise, is set to open at 230 Palladio Parkway, Suite 1227. The location was formally the We’re Organized retail store. The Folsom location will mark the company’s second California location and its first in the Sacramento region.
Founded in 1999 in Hyderabad, India, Dumont Creamery & Cafe was created by brothers Vivek and Bhaskar Inampudi as a tribute to their father and a celebration of their Indian heritage. What began as a family-inspired concept has since grown into an international franchise known for fusing traditional Indian sweets with familiar American ice cream flavors.
The menu at Dumont pairs Indian-inspired ice cream varieties with gourmet milkshakes, handcrafted bubble teas, specialty coffee drinks, and fresh pastries. According to Palladio, the Folsom location will feature a rotating lineup of flavors and beverages, offering customers both grab-and-go treats and a relaxed café setting.
“Palladio is thrilled to welcome Dumont Creamery, a unique fusion of a creamery and café that merges traditional Indian sweets with favorite American ice-cream flavors,” the shopping center shared in a recent social media post announcing the addition. “Whether you’re looking for a quick treat or prefer to relax in the café atmosphere—savoring coffee and pastries alongside delightful frozen desserts—there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Dumont opened its first U.S. franchise location in Texas in 2023 and has expanded rapidly since then. The company now operates multiple locations across Texas, along with stores in Arkansas, Georgia, Ohio and South Carolina, in addition to its original locations in India. The brand’s first California location opened in San Jose in 2024.
The upcoming Folsom shop will bring Dumont’s distinctive dessert concept to one of the city’s busiest commercial hubs, joining a growing lineup of food, beverage and specialty retailers at Palladio.
An official grand opening date for the Folsom location has not yet been announced but signage has been installed at the location.
