Traffic on northbound Folsom Auburn Road is seeing delays and detours this evening as emergency units are working the scene of a multi-car accident.
At 5:25 p.m. units were dispatched to the incident that occurred at Folsom Auburn Road at the intersection of Folsom Dam Road, north of Folsom Lake Crossing. The collision involved several vehicles in what was described by one of the victims on scene as a chain reaction crash.
One person was transported from the scene my Folsom’s Medic 37 for non-life threatening injuries. A total of one engine and two medic units were originally dispatched to the incident. Several units from Folsom Police remain on scene clearing the roadway and investigating the cause of the crash. At the time of this posting it was expected the roadway would be closed or traffic would be slowed for another 30-60 minutes.
