The energy will be high this Thursday evening in Historic Folsom, as the Folsom Historic District Association (FHDA) Summer Twilight Concert series lights up the Zittel Family Amphitheater with one of the region’s most popular bands, Island of Black and White. The event is one of only two live music events in the summer series under the promotion of the FHDA that continues with an additional show Sept. 20

A fusion of rock, funk, blues, folk and reggae, Island of Black and White emerged from the foothills of El Dorado County in 2004. As solid contributors to the local music scene in and around Sacramento for over a decade, the band has established itself as a soulful, musical powerhouse. Having played for the heaving crowd of thousands, their music has gained a substantial and loyal following. Often referred to as “IBW,:” the band delivers high energy performances, playing a large variety of music, including originals and covers and their energy is shared with the entire crowd. Thursday night should be nothing sort of energetic and great in Historic Folsom.

The 2024 music series presented by Historic Folsom Station and Willamette Wineworks with a number of supporting sponsors that make it all possible. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and continues for two hours. An early arrival to the amphitheater is suggested to reserve a spot, guests are urged to bring low-backed chairs that sit close to the ground or picnic blankets. The concert is free for all ages. Outside beer and wine is not permitted but is available on site.  For additional information on the concert series visit www.historicfolsom.org.
