The new year is always a time for reflection – it’s also a time to look ahead. While there is no shortage of reasons to be grateful to live, work, and play in Folsom, I’m more excited about what the next year holds. Here are a few reasons why:

Folsom Business Community

Our businesses play a significant role in our community’s successes. I can’t thank all of you enough for your continued dedication to Folsom and for creating a culture that fosters innovation and entrepreneurship. Last year showed that collectively, we’re #FolsomStrongerTogether, and I have no doubt that energy will continue this year.

The Choose Folsom Team

In 2023, the Choose Folsom team brought a new level of excellence to everything they accomplished. They were extremely busy modernizing our platforms, delivering new websites for Choose FolsomVisit Folsom, theFolsom Pro Rodeo, the Foothill Wine Fest, plus the Northern California Innovation District and the 50 Economic Alliance!

Then, there were also the numerous sold-out events (too many to name, but theFolsom Pro Rodeo is at the top of that list). No doubt about it, our team was unstoppable. I know that momentum will only continue in 2024.

Innovation Continues to Thrive

The Folsom business community continued its pace in 2023. Several startups, tech companies, and others, including ClutchBekonixEV Life, and LYT, gained momentum and recognition.

Similarly, the Northern California Innovation District continued its growth. The organization, which fosters innovation, economic sustainability, and development across the Greater Sacramento Region, strives to connect, educate, develop, and promote the region and its community. Besides helping businesses do more business by providing necessary resources, NCID hosts events, including the second year of the NASA Space Apps Challenge Sacramento and monthly Pitch Nights for startups.
