Since he was just a little kid, Kirk Basquez has been playing guitar, following his interest in some of country music’s biggest legends. Today, he transforms his love of country music into great energy on any stage he steps on. Saturday night, that stage is that of Red Hawk Resort Casino’s stage bar.
Basquez and his band, known as the Los Vaqueros take the stage for the second of two nights of no cover charge entertainment at Red Hawk beginning at 10 p.m.. The show will provide plenty of opportunity to get out on the dance floor, continuing until 2 a.m.
Born and raised in Northern California and coming from a large family of musicians, Kirk Matthew says, “country music is his jam,” has been on musical journey in which he was influenced by some of country music’s biggest names.
That journey started when Matthew was just six years old when his mother bought him his first guitar and the rest is history as followed influences of Hank Williams Jr. Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Jamey Johnson, Sturgill Simpson, John Mayer and many others.
Matthew loves performing live on stage most of all, where he strives to give his fans the same joy music gives him.
