Thursday incident may be linked to earlier bank robberies in Folsom, Auburn and Citrus Heights

An El Dorado Hills man has been arrested following an investigation into a Roseville bank robbery this week that may be linked to robberies in Folsom, Citrus Heights and Auburn. 

Following a robbery on Tuesday in Roseville’s 1100 block of Galleria Boulevard, investigators identified Andrew Lucas, 33, of El Dorado Hills.  Lucas was arrested at his home in El Dorado Hills on Thursday and booked in the the Placer County Jail, the county in which the most recent robbery occurred.

According to reports, Lucas allegedly entered the bank and presented a note, demanding cash from the teller. Upon receiving the money, the suspect left the bank and fled the scene in a vehicle.

According to investigators, the latest robbery was likely related to similar robberies and attempts that previously took place in Folsom, Citrus Heights and Auburn where the suspect presented a note to a teller, then, “calmly left the bank.”

Investigators report that it appears the suspect acted alone in the robberies. No further information is being released.
