At Bradshaw Animal Shelter in Sacramento County, a tiny kitten named Monkey is fighting for a brighter future—and he needs the community’s help to get there. Despite his playful spirit and love for cuddles, Monkey is facing serious eye issues that could affect his vision and long-term health.

According to a plea posted on its social media page, the shelter is working to secure an ophthalmology consultation and treatment for Monkey, but his medical care comes at a cost. Without proper intervention, his future remains uncertain. That’s why Bradshaw Animal Shelter is asking for donations to help give Monkey the care he needs. The shelter has started a fundraising page with a goal of $30000 for Monkey’s procedure and care. As of Monday evening, 17 donors had already contributed to his future and have raised over $600 to get the campaign off to a good start.

Every contribution, big or small, will go directly toward Monkey’s medical expenses, ensuring he gets the treatment necessary to live a happy, healthy life according to the team at the shelter. Those who wish to help can donate and note ‘Monkey’ in their contribution to make sure their gift supports his care.

Bradshaw Animal Shelter, operated by Sacramento County, provides compassionate care to thousands of animals each year, offering adoption services, medical care, and rehabilitation to pets in need.
