Foodies in Folsom will have another new restaurant to tantalize their tastebuds later this month as Mendocino Farms opens the doors to its newest location in the City of Folsom.  The soon to open eatery is located in Folsom Pointe located at Highway 50 and East Bidwell Street.

Mendocino Farms brands itself as offering foodie favorites across all of their locations, which now exceed the 54 count throughout California and Texas.

The restaurant is known for crafting unique dishes that they call “chef’s favorites” and range from a variety of unique soups, salads, sandwiches and a multitude of handmade side dishes to go along with them. Currently, their featured favorites are a Hot Honey Peach and Prosciutto Sandwhich along with a Strawberry Fields Salad with Chicken. They also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options on their menu. They also offer housemade beverages including passion fruit black tea, homemade lemonades and more.

According to the company’s website, August 29 has been slated as the expected opening date for the Folsom location. The restaurant’s closest neighbors in the center include Mikuni Sushi, In n Out Burger, Starbuck, Bad Bakers Donuts and the Hampton Inn, who’s guests will surely appreciate another dining option just a few feet away and try something new during the various seasons as the menu will have featured items.

“The Sacramento area has been very receptive of our fresh, bold flavors,” said Mendocino Farms spokesperson Whitney Schwartz. “We change our menu throughout the year so it allows people to come in to try something new.”

Mendocino Farms first came about in 2003 as a family business when the duo of Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen set out with a vision to offer much more than great food, they eventually opened their first location in Los Angeles two years later.

From the early beginning, the family set out to always offer, “a welcoming gathering place where happiness is always an order away. They’ve we’ve been inviting their guests to “eat happy,” as they like say, ever since and continue to add additional locations, all of which are well branded by their unique big blue cow. In addition to the Folsom location, additional Sacramento area spots include a new location in the Arden area as well as Land Park. The company first came to the Sacramento area on R Street in the downtown area.

“At Mendocino Farms, your favorite food experience awaits. Our creative sandwiches, salads and more take you on an unexpected culinary adventure with fresh ingredients and fearless flavor combinations,” reads the company website where they have announced the Folsom opening date.

The hours for the Folsom location have yet to be announced but all locations are open daily for lunch and dinner. The Folsom location will open at 11 a.m. on August 29 and the actual address is 165 Placerville Road.
