The offices of Folsom Times, Folsom TV and All Town Media LLC are closed today, Dec 25 with the exception of breaking news. We are spending today with our families, along with many area businesses and citywide facilities. Here’s a look at what’s closed and what’s open today.
City administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, December 24 and 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday, and again on Wednesday and Thursday, December 31 and January 1, for the New Year’s holiday. Residents needing assistance with urgent city-related issues during closures are advised to call 916-461-6400, while life-threatening emergencies should be reported by calling 9-1-1.
Waste collection services will continue without interruption throughout the holiday period, and residents should place carts curbside according to their regular collection schedules.
Public transit will operate on a limited schedule. Service will be available on December 24 and December 30 through the Folsom Stage Line operated by Sacramento Regional Transit. No transit service will be provided on December 25 or January 1.
The Folsom Public Library will be closed on December 24 and 25 for Christmas and again on December 31 and January 1 for the New Year holiday.
The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The Andy Morin Sports Complex will be closed December 24 and 25 as well as December 31 and January 1, with adjusted hours in effect on December 23 and December 26 through 30, when the complex will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Steve Miklos Aquatic Center is closed for the season from December 20 through January 7. FIDO Field Dog Park will remain open daily from 7 a.m. to one hour after sunset.
Additional cultural and senior facilities will be closed for an extended holiday period. The Folsom Senior Center, the Folsom Art Center, and the Gallery at 48 Natoma will be closed from December 22 through January 4.
