Sacramento country-rock band returns to the Historic Folsom venue with a hometown release show

FOLSOM — The Folsom Hotel Saloon is sure to be buzzing Friday night as MoonShine Crazy returns to the longtime Historic Folsom venue for a hometown performance marking the debut of its newest single, Unbroken.

The Sacramento-based modern country-rock band will unveil the new track during a special release show inside one of Folsom’s most iconic live-music venues, continuing a steady climb that has taken the group from local honky-tonks to major festival stages and nationally shared bills. Friday’s performance serves as both a celebration of new music and a homecoming moment for a band that has built much of its following across Northern California.

Since forming in 2015, MoonShine Crazy has established itself as one of the region’s most recognizable country-rock acts, blending modern country storytelling with the punch and drive of rock ’n’ roll. The band’s sound pairs polished vocals and relatable lyrics with a live show known for its energy and crowd connection, whether performing original material or reimagined country favorites.

That consistency on stage has led MoonShine Crazy to increasingly high-profile appearances. In 2024, the band was featured at the GoldenSky Music Festival, sharing the lineup with some of country music’s biggest names. Over the years, they have shared the stage with artists including Luke Bryan, Bailey Zimmerman, Ashley McBryde, Shaboozey, and Deana Carter, while also opening shows for national headliners such as Lonestar, Chris Lane, Tyler Rich, Canaan Smith, Craig Campbell, and American Young.

The band has also made its mark through collaborative and special performances, including featured appearances with artists from NBC’s The Voice. Lead vocalist Jessica Spaid has brought national attention to the group as well, performing the national anthem at KNCI’s Country in the Park in 2022, opening the event for artists including Cole Swindell, Russell Dickerson, Lauren Alaina, Jameson Rodgers, Tenille Arts, Drew Parker, and Sykamore.

Friday’s show introduces Unbroken, the latest release from MoonShine Crazy and the first glimpse of an upcoming EP expected later this year. The new single follows the band’s earlier patriotic breakout song, The American Way, released in 2020 and streamed across major digital platforms. Unbroken reflects the band’s evolving songwriting and production, pairing emotional resilience with the modern country-rock sound that has become its signature. The upcoming EP will also feature Perfectly Imperfect, with additional tracks to be announced.

Established in 1885, the historic venue sits at the heart of the Folsom Historic District and remains a cornerstone of the city’s live music scene. Its intimate setting has long made it a favorite stop for touring and regional acts alike, offering audiences a close-up, high-energy concert experience.
