How does the program work?  Two Men and a Truck locations nationwide collaborate with local businesses, schools, and organizations to gather essential care items like soap and shampoo for women residing in domestic abuse or homeless shelters. Once donations are collected, the move teams meticulously sort them before delivering them to partnering shelters around Mother’s Day.

“Investing in Moms Everywhere” is not just a slogan for Two Men and a Truck; it’s a mission. The program’s impact speaks volumes. In 2023 alone, over 443,000 items were collected and donated to local shelters supporting women, demonstrating the profound effect of collective community action.

The roots of Two Men and a Truck run deep, originating in the early 1980s when brothers Brig and Jon Sorber started moving people in Lansing, Michigan, using a ’66 Ford pickup truck. Their mother, Mary Ellen Sheets, played a pivotal role in the company’s early days, designing the iconic “stick-men” logo that remains emblematic of the brand to this day.

What began as a small-scale operation has blossomed into a global enterprise, with over 380 locations worldwide. Sheets’ vision and dedication laid the foundation for the company’s expansion, epitomizing the spirit of entrepreneurship and community stewardship.

As the company continues to evolve, its commitment to exceeding customer expectations remains unwavering. From a single truck to a fleet of over 3,000 vehicles, the company’s journey symbolizes growth, innovation, and above all, a steadfast dedication to serving communities and uplifting individuals in need.

Two Men and A Truck is the nation’s largest franchised moving company, operating in 47 states and expanding internationally, with locations in Canada, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
