The Miklos family wishes to share the peaceful passing of their mother, Pat Miklos, on May
20, 2025.
Pat was born and raised in Glendale, California. She learned to play the piano at age 4, and
it was truly one of her passions. She shared those talents in high school by playing in the
marching band. She taught all her sons how to play the piano and later taught piano for a
living.
Pat also had a successful career in the insurance industry, working in the claims division at
Safeco Insurance and later at Prudential Insurance. She retired as the West Coast
Supervisor, overseeing Prudential’s workers’ compensation division.
Pat loved to travel, especially cruising. Pat logged in 63 cruises that amounted to
thousands of miles. She visited many countries and cultures, always returning with a smile
and deep appreciation for the experiences. She also enjoyed many land-based train trips to
places she raved about regularly when someone brought them up. She loved water skiing,
camping, and more. One of her outdoor adventures was hiking the trail to the famous
Devil’s Post Pile at Mammoth Mountain at the age of 79.
Pat moved to the City of Folsom from Simi Valley and immediately fell in love with her new
community. She jumped right in to help advocate for the Folsom Senior Center. Once the
center was built, she coordinated the guest speakers for the senior center lunches every
Monday. After the lunch, you would see Pat at the head of the room calling Bingo. She held
various positions with the Folsom’s Women’s Club and volunteered to pass out food and
water at Community Service Day projects. She loved to help out wherever the City of
Folsom needed it. She had a deep appreciation for all the employees she had the
opportunity to work with and approached every task with a positive attitude, never once
complaining about what was asked of her.
Pat loved her church, as to her, it was truly her extended family. Journey Presbyterian
Church of Folsom brought her the joy and friendships that created lasting, lifetime
impressions and memories for her. She served as a Deacon for the church and
occasionally would fill in on the piano for Sunday service when needed.
Pat is survived by her sons, Bill and his wife Angelica, Alan, Terry, and Steve and his wife
Jeri, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Services: A celebration of Pat Miklos’ life will be held on Saturday, July 12 at 11:30 a.m. at Journey
Presbyterian Church, located at 450 Blue Ravine Road, Folsom, CA.
