Red Hawk Resort Casino continues its live music series this weekend with two very different genres of entertainment at the casino’s popular stage bar. Friday night features the return of Outlaw Mariachi, followed by the Night Owls on Saturday night.
On Friday night, it’s a mix of mariachi and rock with plenty of laughs along the way as The Outlaw Mariachi takes to the casino’s stage bar from 8 p.m. until midnight. Billed as “LA’s premiere rock mariachi band,” the group blends traditional mariachi sounds with the high-powered energy of American and Latin rock music. Besides adding Mexican flair to the head-banging hits from the classic rock era, these self-proclaimed “charros of rock” integrate the romance of Latin ballads and body-shaking grooves of Afro-Cuban elements, according to the band’s press kit.
The band mixes their unique style with hits from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eagles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Santana, Guns N’ Roses, The Beatles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and even Rammstein! Fronted by singer “GunSkull” Ricky and trumpeter Mavero Durán, this all-star group consists of musicians who have toured with Metalachi, Mariachi Divas, Linda Ronstadt, Bow Wow Wow, Alejandro Fernandez, and more. According to the band, casino guests are set to enjoy the combination of gut-busting laughter and thrilling musical innovations as these rhythmic bandits take the stage to give a spectacular, comedic-filled performance that will bring audiences out of their seats and into full party mode for four entertaining hours.
On Saturday night, one of the region’s well-known energetic cover bands returns to the area venue. The Night Owls take to the casino’s stage bar starting at 10 p.m. and continuing until 2 a.m.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Night Owls are a cover band passionate about putting on a great show with awesome music, as they tout in their entertainment bio. The band is known for a variety of songs by such great artists as The Killers, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, The Beatles, and many others. The band is made up of veterans with years of experience in the Bay Area music scene and always performs the hit songs that will get the dance floor packed.
The Night Owls bring their multi-genre energy to Red Hawk to cap off the two straight nights of live music that takes place on the casino’s stage bar every weekend.
