Production brings Clara’s magical adventure to Folsom with special dress rehearsal and six public performances

A cherished holiday tradition returns to the Harris Center for the Arts this December as Pamela Hayes’ The Nutcracker takes the stage, inviting audiences to step into a world of wonder, imagination and classic storytelling. Set on Christmas Eve, the timeless ballet unfolds as the Silberhaus family hosts its annual holiday party, setting the scene for an evening that quickly turns magical.

As the story begins, Clara’s mysterious and beloved godfather Herr Drosselmeyer arrives, delighting guests with magical tricks and life-size dolls. Soon, Clara is swept into an enchanted adventure alongside her Nutcracker Prince, traveling through the whimsical Kingdom of Sweets. Along the way, audiences meet a cast of unforgettable characters, including the playful Sweeties, the larger-than-life Mother Ginger, and the elegant Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier.
