A heartbreaking situation turned heartwarming on Wednesday when a Folsom Police Animal Control Officer rescued a tiny abandoned puppy from Kemp Park, bringing a moment of compassion and care to the local community.
Animal Control Officer Janet Bradley responded to a call about a small dog left alone in a box at the popular Folsom park. When she arrived, she discovered a black puppy—frightened, vulnerable, and clearly in need of help.
Thanks to Officer Bradley’s calm demeanor and a few gentle puppy kisses, the little dog was safely coaxed from her box and brought to safety.
The puppy, whose expressive eyes and trusting spirit captured the hearts of everyone involved, is now settling into a loving foster home where she’ll receive the care and affection she deserves.
The Folsom Police Department shared the touching rescue on social media, noting, “We can hear that collective ‘Awwww!’ It’s OK, we did it too… How could you not, just look at that face!”
This uplifting story is a reminder of the compassion that exists in our community—and the commitment of Folsom’s Animal Services team to protect and care for even the most vulnerable.
