The 2023 Live on the Boulevard Concert Series continues this week in El Dorado Hills Town Center with Petty Theft bringing their Tom Pretty and the Heartbreaker’s tribute tunes to the Steven Young Amphitheater. 

Since 2003, San Francisco based Petty Theft has been touring the western United States performing Tom Petty’s songs true to the originals and in the spirit of the Heartbreaker’s live shows. The band is comprised of six professional Bay Area musicians that have come together to pay tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Petty Theft delivers Petty’s songs true to the originals and in the spirit of his leg- endary bands live shows, performing everything from his revered classics to his most current songs. 

Petty Theft has been entertaining audiences with an electrifying live show. No matter where they play, it’s a guaranteed sing-along, according to the band’s press materials. Audiences everywhere know these classic radio hits and when performed by Petty Theft, it sounds like you are hearing the real deal! 

Voted Best Band in the North Bay 2011, 2012 and 2013 in The Bohemian and Best of Marin 2015 – Best Local Band in the Pacific Sun, Petty Theft has been selling out shows all over the Northwest. Petty Theft is not an average cover band but an ultimate tribute to one of America’s most endearing rock n’ roll legends who live by the motto, “it’s not about costumes and getups, it’s all about the music.”

Thursday’s concert begins at 7 p.m. and continues until 9 p.m. The concerts are free and general seating opens up just after 5:30 each Thursday. For those early birds, the El Dorado Hills Town Center operates under a unique early bird systems for those wanting to save their spot early for each concert. 

Early set up is allowed at 5:30 p.m. sharp each Thursday, but to participate you must utilize the center’s numbering system. Numbers handed out at 3:30pm. 1st come 1st serve by security at the concert site. Those with early bird numbers, must return to line by 5:30 p.m. and one number is good for up to 4 people. El Dorado Hills Town Center does not allow saving places in line with items. 

Due to ABC regulations, this venue no longer permits outside alcohol and any ice chests and bags are subject to a search upon arrival.
