The Folsom Police Department and officials from the City of Folsom Public Works Department have issued a traffic alert Thursday afternoon. Motorists are being asked to about the area of East Bidwell Street between Oak Avenue Parkway and Scholar Way at this time.
A pipeline break in the area has forced the closure of a northwest lane on East Bidwell Street between Oak Ave Parkway and Scholar Way. City staff have confirmed it is a sewer line and is not currently affecting any city services.
According to the alert, only one lane remains open. Motorists traveling in the area can expect delays and are encouraged to find an alternate route.
At this time there has not been an estimated time released of when they expect to compete the emergency repairs and fully reopen the roadway. There is currently not any reports or alerts in regards to water service to the area. The City of Folsom will issue updates accordingly.
