Folsom could soon be home to a new Quick Quack Car Wash, as the fast-growing express car wash chain has submitted plans to build on a vacant parcel at 6711 Folsom Auburn Road. The location is currently under review by the city and, if approved, would add another convenient wash option for local drivers.
The proposed site sits just across from the Folsom Pavilions shopping center, in proximity to an existing self-service car wash. The filing, submitted in March, marks the latest move by the Rocklin-based company to expand its footprint in the Sacramento region, where it already operates more than 30 locations.
While specific design details for the Folsom location have not yet been made public, similar Quick Quack proposals typically feature multiple queuing lanes, a 3,500-square-foot wash tunnel, and rows of self-service vacuum stations, all aimed at delivering an efficient, customer-friendly experience.
Founded in 2004, Quick Quack has grown into one of the largest express-format car wash operators in the country, now operating more than 270 locations across five states. In 2024, the company received an $850 million investment from private equity giant KKR & Co. Inc., fueling an aggressive growth strategy that includes multiple new builds throughout California.
So far in 2025, Quick Quack has opened 22 new locations, including a recent debut near Placerville in the Prospector’s Plaza shopping center.
In addition to the Folsom proposal, the company’s website indicates a new Quick Quack location is also “coming soon” to El Dorado Hills. That site, located at 3379 Bass Lake Road, Suite 100 in the Sienna Ridge Shopping Center, has been in development for several years and is expected to open by late summer or early fall.
