Registered voters across Sacramento County should be receiving their vote by mail ballots in their mail boxes this week for the 2024 Primary Election. Election Day is Tuesday, March 5 but voters can return their ballots by mail or drop them off at various ballot drop box locations that have opened this week.
In the city limits of Folsom, the following are where residents can find official ballot drop boxes.
Folsom City Hall

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, closed Monday, Feb. 19 (Presidents’ Day)
Election Day hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Folsom Public Library
Address: 411 Stafford St., Folsom, CA 95630
Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays
Election Day hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
West Coast Sourdough
Address: 2784 East Bidwell St. Suite 200, Folsom, CA 95630
Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays

Prairie City Landing Senior Living Community

Those living outside of the city, can find additional voter boxes by visiting the Sacramento County Elections website and entering their address online here.
Days and operation for access to the official ballot drop boxes vary and can be found on the Sacramento County Elections website as well.
No postage is necessary for voters returning their ballots by U.S. Mail using the pink Vote by Mail envelope. In accordance with California Election Code 14422 and California Code of Regulations 20142, Sacramento County will be picking up voted ballots at all Vote Center locations between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Election Day.
