The latest  Folsom Times Shelter Pet Spotlight, presented by Symmetry for Health of Folsom, features an energetic and intelligent Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix named Quest. He’s looking for a forever home where he can thrive and enjoy plenty of activity. Quest is currently residing at Sacramento County Animal Services’ Bradshaw Shelter.

Quest is a male tricolor Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix, estimated to be about 2 years and 1 month old. Weighing approximately 33 pounds, he has been at the shelter since Feb. 2, 2025. He was recently adopted but quickly returned after showing too much interest in chasing the resident cats, so he would do best in a home without feline companions.

Quest has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy having a compatible canine friend in his new home. If you’re looking for a buddy for your dog, bring them to the shelter for a meet-and-greet to see if they’re a match!

If you’d like to meet Quest in person, visit Sacramento County Animal Care Services at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Adoptions are first-come, first-served, so be sure to bring a valid ID and plan your visit soon.

By adopting Quest—or one of his shelter friends—you’ll not only gain a loving companion but also help create space for another pet in need. Quest might just be the perfect addition to your family.
