Red Hawk Resort Casino is starting off December with Clean Slate this Friday, literally. Friday opens an entertainment packed month at the popular El Dorado County destination and Clean Slate, the ultimate show band in the region is kicking it all off.
Clean Slate will be the first of two nights of live music this weekend at the Red Hawk stage bar. On Saturday, the Night Owls return for another visit and an evening of top 40 hits. Music on both nights starts at 10 a.m. and concludes at 2 a.m. There is no cover charge either night as the two bands kick off a series of 12 different live music shows for the month ahead, include two different bands on New Year’s Eve this year.
Known as the ultimate show band that plays hits that span over five decades, Clean Slate it comprised of ten professional musicians dedicated to delivering a high energy show that leaves its audiences wanting the performance to never end. Powerful vocals, a tight horn section, and a funky rhythm section enable Clean Slate to deliver a wide range of music genres from Big Band, Soul, Country, R & B, Rock, and Pop
Originally formed in 1974, Clean Slate was inspired by the likes of Tower of Power, Earth Wind & Fire, AWB, Spinners, Aretha Franklin, James Brown and many other artists that are now considered Old School. To honor the many influential artists of the 70’s Clean Slate reformed in 2002 to again deliver the ultimate show band experience blended with the best dance music of the last five decades.
On Saturday, there will another night of high energy music with the Night Owls returning to cap off the weekend double header.
Based in the San Francisco bay area, the Night Owls are a cover band that is passionate about putting on a great show with awesome music, as they tout in their entertainment bio. The band is known for a variety of songs by such great artists like The Killers, Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse, The Beatles and many others. The band is made up of veterans with years of experience in the Bay Area music scene and always performs the hit songs that will get the dance floor packed.
Friday and Saturday night kick off a busy weekend at Red Resort Casino with various holiday events ahead at both the casino and the Apex. In total, 12 different bands with an impressive mix of genres are slated to perform throughout the month.
On December 8, Steel Breeze returns to the local stage followed by Kirk Basquez and Los Vaqueros on Dec. 9. On Friday, Dec. 16 Gotcha Covered is back by popular demand as well as the Cynthia Renee Band on Dec. 16. Maxx Cabello Jr. performs Dec. 22 with Sons of Rock and Roll on Dec. 23. On Dec.29 High Fidelity rocks the stage folloed by Modern Relic on December 30.
For New Years Eve, Dec. 31. Red Hawk is adding two additional bands for a special Sunday of entertainment Moonshine Crazy will perform from 5-9 pm followed by Power Play that will ring in the new year playing from 10 pm until 2 am.
