The six-week late summer music series continues this Friday night at Folsom Lions Park with an area band that will take you back to an iconic time in rock and roll history as Revolution Beat, a Tribute to the Beatles takes to the gazebo stage thanks to the Rotary Club of Folsom and the Folsom Rotary Foundation.
According to their bio, Revolution Beat consists of four seasoned professionals all with a huge mutual passion for playing the early Beatles music just as heard by putting the phonograph needle down on the vinyl.
The band is a Sacramento based group with members from Elk Grove, Roseville, West Sacramento, Stockton and Cameron Park/Shingle Springs. The songs of Revolution Beat are performed at a quick pace with some songs blended together to keep everyone on their feet and excited during their shows.
They are also known to engage with the audience to give them a true feeling of being young, and in some cases young again and having a fun and memorable experience. “Let us transport you down memory lane to a very special time in the 60’s when the Beatles invaded America and ruled the era over 50 years ago,” reads a statement from the band. “ We are a very professional band that works and plays hard to ensure our audiences enjoy the most excellent musical satisfaction.”
The concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 pm. each Friday and organizers encourage live music lovers to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets and ice chests. One more item they suggest you bring is a pair of comfortable dancing shoes in case you want to kick up those heals to some of the great bands they welcome into September.
