Duran Duran Tribute Band RIO to Rock The Boardwalk in Orangevale

ORANGEVALE—New wave nostalgia is set to take over The Boardwalk as RIO – A Tribute to Duran Duran brings the sounds of the ‘80s to life this Saturday, Feb. 22, Fans of the legendary British band can expect a night of high-energy performances, celebrating the music that helped define a generation in a concert presented by Concetta Ellis at the Orangevale music venue.

Hailing from Southern California, RIO is widely recognized as the premier Duran Duran tribute band in the United States. The five-piece group—Jason “Jake” Jacobs (Simon Le Bon), Gil Barron (John Taylor), Danny Alfaro (Roger Taylor), Rob Paterson (Nick Rhodes), and Wes Garren (Andy Taylor)—delivers a faithful recreation of Duran Duran’s biggest hits, from “Hungry Like the Wolf” to “Rio” and “Ordinary World.”

Performing at top venues across North America, RIO has earned a reputation for their spot-on renditions and stage presence that channels the essence of Duran Duran’s prime era. Their setlist spans the band’s extensive catalog, from early ‘80s classics like “Planet Earth” to later hits like “(Reach Up for the) Sunrise.”
