ROSEVILLE- A Roseville family has been displaced after their two-story home and much of its contents were destroyed by a fire on Christmas Eve that prompted a multi-agency response.

Firefighters from the Roseville Fire Department and several neighboring agencies were dispatched to the home on the Pleasant Grove neighborhood just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday night. Upon arrival, much of the home was already fully involved in flames including the living area and the garage of the structure.

The residents all safely evacuated the home and shortly after the first units arrived the blaze was escalated to a two alarm incident and additional mutual aid units were dispatched from throughout the region.

According to fire officials, firefighters battled the blaze for nearly two hours to get it fully under control. The fire was reportedly contained just before midnight.

There were no injuries reported in the fire. Units remained on scene into Christmas morning, insuring all hot spots were out and performing salvage and board up detail.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
