ROSEVILLE – Creekview Ranch School in nearby Roseville, was evacuated Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat. The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of the school at 8779 Cook Riolo Road in Roseville  and actively investigating the situation. They have indicated that they will notify parents and guardians about where to reunite with their children.

“All students have been safely evacuated; deputies are working to clear the campus. Once that is complete the plans to resume classes,” the Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “We kindly ask that no one come to the school at this time.”

Currently, there are few specifics available regarding the nature of the threat but it has been reported that the threat was made directly to the school, who then notified the Placer County Sheriff’s Department. School officials reportedly evacuated the school while authorities were in response to the scene. Creekview Ranch accommodates students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade.

Update: shortly after 1 p.m. the Placer County Sheriff’s Department completed a full sweep of the campus and determined there was no threat, allowing students to return to their classrooms. The threat continues to remain under investigation.
