Those who trek to the Sacramento County Clerk Recorder (CCR) Department will now have a longer commute to perform in office services with the permanent closure of its office closest to Folsom.

As of Thursday, Nov. 9 the county will be closing its East Area Service Center location at 5229 Hazel Avenue in Fair Oaks. The move comes as part of CCR’s county wide consolidation and relocation efforts aimed to be completed by December 2023, according to a media release from Sacramento County.

Over the next two months, CCR will continue to be consolidating its offices, which will also include its downtown office at 600 8th Street, Sacramento, in addition to the now closed Hazel Ave. location. The county has taken over a 26,952 square foot central office located at 3636 American River Drive in the unincorporated part of the County which will become the official consolidated location for services.
