A little bit of wet weather can’t dull the shine of the Sacramento regions largest indoor car show this weekend. The Sacramento Autorama got underway Friday at Cal Expo and continues through Sunday.

This year’s event features over 500 vehicles competing for the Custom D’Elegance and Big “B” awards, which come with a respective $2,000 and $500 prize and a trophy each.

A new addition to the longtime show this year that is designed for CSD owners that can’t leave their vehicle indoors for all four days, the event will also have an outdoor portion the Autorama Drive-In. While Saturday’s weather poses a challenge for that portion of the show, Friday allowed participants to share they rides and Sunday should be ideal as well. Saturday’s forecast, however, makes for a great time to enjoy the indoor spectacle.

The Sacramento Autorama is one of the oldest hot rod, custom car, and motorcycle expositions. The Sacramento Autorama is the Kustom Capitol of the World and is the home of many coveted awards, including the Custom d’Elegance award. The event attracts the best of the best builders and owners from all over the world to compete in this annual, historic event.
