A Sacramento County man has been arrested on suspicion of child molestation in Sacramento, and detectives are concerned there may be more victims.

Detectives with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Child Abuse Bureau have been investigating a case of abuse of an eight-year-old child. As a result of the investigation, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office arrested JW “Jesse” Geiger, 25.

Geiger is facing two counts of lewd or lascivious acts on a child by force or fear. He has been booked into Sacramento County Jail and is being held on $400,000 bail. The specific location in which Geiger was apprehended is not disclosed by law enforcement due to the ongoing investigation and nature of the crime involving a minor.

At the time of his arrest, Geiger was possessing a firearm. Geiger has a criminal record with previous arrests including kidnapping, and corporal injury in April of 2022; being in possession of a firearm in a public place in Sacramento County on two occasions in 2021. Geiger was arrested by Folsom Police in April of 2020 for grand theft and violation of probation. 

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s office is continuing its investigation and looking for any possible unreported victims. Anyone with information relevant to the investigation into Geiger are urged to contact the sheriff’s office .

As of 5 pm on Thursday, Mar. 28 Sacramento County jail records reported Geiger remained in custody with bail set at $400,000.00.
