UPDATE: At 8:50 am Thursday Andre has been located and is reported to be “safe and sound” by the Sheriff’s Department.
Authorities across Sacramento County are continued their search for an 11-year-old boy that went missing Wednesday and are seeking the communities help with any information that could lead to his whereabouts.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office is leading the search and asking for assistance to find Andre Jackson. Jackson was last seen leaving his Sacramento home for school around 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday in the area of Casals Street and Folsom Boulevard.
Jackson is described as African American and was last seen wearing a long-sleeved gray sweater with red inside the hood and a pair white Nike shoes with red bottoms. The child was later reported missing to authorities around 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Jackson is considered at risk because of his young age. Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 916-874-5115.
