Sutter Street has country music fans covered this week as Sam Grow takes the stage at the Folsom Hotel on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Nashville recording artist, known for his raw lyrics and genre-blending sound, will bring his signature mix of country, rock, and soul to Historic Folsom for an unforgettable live performance.
After the breakout success of his first studio album, Love and Whiskey, Grow quickly became a name to watch in country music. The album hit No. 1 on iTunes’ Country Albums chart—an impressive feat achieved without radio airplay. His 2020 single, Song About You, skyrocketed in popularity, amassing over 50 million streams and earning a spot on Spotify’s “Best Country Songs” list. Since then, he has been featured on Billboard’s “7 Country Acts to Watch” list and praised by Music Row as a future superstar.
Grow’s latest album, This Town, is a heartfelt tribute to small-town life, relationships, and personal growth. Featuring a mix of ‘90s country, classic and Southern rock, and even a touch of pop punk, the record showcases Grow’s strongest vocals yet. Songs like You Ain’t Gone, Whiskey Bound, and Kiss My Ass reflect his diverse influences, while tracks like Go Right Now pay tribute to personal loss and resilience.
Calling his latest work the most personal of his career, Grow hopes his music resonates with fans on a deep level. “Even the little things you have to go through become twice as hard in the world we’re living in now,” he says. “I hope people listen and realize that someone else has gone through it—and that they can, too.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. for Saturday’s show. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance online here. Service charges apply for online purchases, while tickets at the door don’t include fees but also don’t guarantee entry if the event sells out.
