Folsom gained a little more bubbly and a variety of delicious daytime eats Friday, a local family known for their success in the local restaurant scene opened the city’s second Mimosa House location.

Now the seventh edition of the local restaurant chain, the Dedier family has officially cracked open the champagne and fired up the grills and waffle irons at 1002 Riley Street. The new addition to the Mimosa House family is located in the space that was previously occupied by the Waffle Barn in the Walmart Central Shopping Center.  The former longtime breakfast joint closed its doors during the pandemic, and never reopened.

At 3,400 square feet in size, the located offers both indoor and patio dining. It featured the popular Mimosa House menu that includes menu that includes several pages of breakfast, brunch and lunch entrees along with those many styles and flavors of mimosas and bubbly alcoholic drinks the eatery is named after and known so well for.

This is the seventh Mimosa House establishment for the Dedier family, who has long standing success in the business since the day long ago when the younger generations of the family convinced their father, Louis, to invest in a restaurant after they had grown up going to Sunday breakfast or brunch every Sunday.

“It’s any kid’s dream to come into a restaurant where you can eat all the food that you want. So, we pestered him enough to where he was finally, ‘Okay, I’ll invest in a restaurant,” is the story Devin Dedier loves to share and did so not so long ago when the family opened its Rancho Cordova location.

In addition to the new Riley Street Location, Mimosa House has well established locations on Blue Ravine Road in the Raley’s shopping center on the other side of Folsom as well as locations in El Dorado Hills, East Sacramento, Roseville, Rancho Cordova and Gold River. They are also planning a new Granite Bay location in in the newly remodeled Raley’s Shopping Center at Auburn-Folsom Road at Douglas Boulevard.
