Folsom Fire units are on the scene of a serious vehicle accident Tuesday morning on Folsom Lake Crossing near the intersection of Gun Range Drive. 

At 7:32 a.m. Tuesday, 911 dispatchers received a report of a collision. Units arriving on scene report there are two vehicles involved. Both vehicles have serious damage and one vehicle is requiring extrication for one occupant trapped inside. 

Units on scene are reporting there are two victims at this time, both being reported as “critical,” by first responders.   Folsom Fire is on scene with two medic units, two engines, one truck and a battalion unit. Multiple units from Folsom Police are also on scene. 

Motorists traveling the area can expect traffic in the area to be impacted.  This is a developing story we will provide updates on here as they become available. 

Update 8:20 a.m.: Two victims have been transported to area hospitals with reported critical injuries. Do to California privacy and California HIPAA law, no additional victim information is being released.

Folsom Police will remain on the scene as its vehicle accident investigation team works on scene.
