The Shops is just one of several retail components that will eventually complete the 3,585acre Folsom Ranch Development. The retail center is rising on the eastern side of East Bidwell Street and sits between Alder Creek Parkway and Old Ranch Way, both of which will provide access points to the center.

Represented by the Edwards Company and being built by Hunter Properties, the center has already signed several retailers as construction continues daily. Once complete, the center will house a number of types of retailers, many of which are restaurants or food retailers.

All of the restaurants that have been named as occupants to be at the center so far are entirely new to the Folsom area and the immediate region.

Bento Box is set to occupy a 4,501 square foot space on the northeast corner of the center. Bento Box currently has three locations in the Sacramento area. The chain is known for its popular teriyaki plates, sushi rolls and more. It has been a popular eatery near Sacramento State University, Midtown and in the Arden-Arcade area.

The space for Bento Box is one of the units that is the furthest along as far as completion goes at the shops. They estimate opening later in 2023 in late September or 2023.

Immediately next door to Bento Box will be a pizzeria known as Slice House. Slice House has been a growing franchise throughout California. It is often found near or inside many sports venues. It is the brainchild of Tony Gemignani, who previously was known as the originator of the former Pizza Rock in Sacramento.  Slice House will occupy 1,505 square feet of the center.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop is another prospective tenant. Capriotti’s early beginnings stem back to 1976 in Delaware when siblings Lois and Alan Margolet wanted to create something unique while honoring a family heritage. Today, they are still known for their whole roast turkeys, meats, cheeses, and fresh rolls they build their sandwiches on.

Another Capriotti’s is slated to open in Rancho Cordova in the coming months near the community of Anatolia.

A Nail Resort is the fifth tenant slated in the same phase of the center.

National Coffee is tentatively slated for a self-standing 2,200 square foot unit in the center that has yet to break ground.  Additional businesses on the plot will include a Family Pet Hospital that will occupy a 6,900 square foot self-standing unit on the southeast corner of the property.

A 3,426-gas station and convenience store will occupy the northwest corner of the property as well.  At this time there is a proposed 4,000 square foot self -standing unit on the northeastern corner of the property that has yet to name a prospective tenant.

Construction continues daily on The Shops at Folsom Ranch where several new dining options are expected to open by the end of 2023.
