In the spirit of Independence Day, Historic Folsom ushered in the month of July with a huge amount of community patriotism this past week, climaxing with the 6th annual Hometown Parade that drew one of its biggest crowds yet. Along with the efforts set forth by the Folsom Historic District Association to keep the community entertained and engaged with the city’s crown jewel that surrounds Sutter Street was a contest amongst merchants to decorate with plenty or red, white and blue.
This week, the winner of that challenge was named by the FHDA as Mr. Ting’s Shanghai Tattoo took the top honors for their efforts.
“As the new owners of that beautiful building, it was fantastic to see Joshua and Ting really deck out their balconies and storefront this year,” said Judy Collinsworth, Executive Director of the Folsom Historic District Association. “They love the Folsom Historic District they call home and their community spirit really shines through, each and every day.”
Ms. Tings Shanghai Tattoo opened 2018 in Historic Folsom, CA. We are a high end tattoo studio with multiple resident artists who specialize in many styles unique from each other. The business is home to China’s “first lady of tattoo,” Zhou DanTing, better known in the community as Ms. Ting.
The business is primarily an appointment only studio, but can still accept walk-ins in most cases. “It is always better to call ahead to ensure availability,” they suggest on their website. Shanghai Tattoo specializes in large scale to smaller scale tattoos in all styles, such as black and grey photo realism, color realism, Asian traditional, American traditional, neo-traditional, geometric, biomechanical, bio organica, watercolor, abstract, black-work, trash polka and more.
Earlier this year, the business moved into its new location after purchasing the building at 305 Wool Street in Historic Folsom. To learn more about their services, background and their talented artists on staff visit their website at www.shanghaitattoo916.com.
