Heavy law enforcement activity is underway in a Granite Bay neighborhood Monday morning for that authorities are describing as “suspicious circumstances.”

According to the Placer County Sheriff’s Departments, it was shortly after 8 a.m. that 911 dispatchers received a call reporting suspicious circumstances at a home in the area of Lou Place and Oak Leaf Way in Granite Bay. Details of the circumstances are currently not being released by law enforcement who has issued a shelter in place request for residents in the immediate area.

“At this time we have Oak Leaf Way from Mac Duff Drive to just south of Lou Place closed as we investigate. Please avoid this area. We are asking residents in the immediate area to shelter in place,” the department said in an online incident briefing.  “We will continue to update as the investigation progresses.”
