This week’s Folsom Times Shelter Pet Spotlight presented by Symmetry for Health of Folsom features a handsome and lovable Pit Bull Terrier named Dempsey, a six-year-old with a tail that never stops wagging and a smile that lights up the room. Dempsey, a gray and white bundle of joy, has been waiting at the shelter since September 15, 2024, for the perfect family to give him the forever home he deserves.
At approximately 69 pounds, Dempsey is a big boy with a heart to match. Whether it’s taking leisurely strolls or simply enjoying the outdoors, Dempsey loves getting out and about for walks. Shelter staff describe him as a strong yet gentle soul who recently met some social dogs at the shelter. While he wasn’t quite ready to play, he was happy to relax and enjoy their company. If you’re looking for a companion for your own pup, bring them to the shelter for a meet-and-greet to see if they make the perfect pair.
To meet Dempsey in person, visit the Sacramento County Animal Care Services located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
