This week’s Folsom Times Shelter Pet Spotlight, sponsored by Symmetry for Health, highlights Sherman, a charming young Siberian Husky in need of a loving forever family. Sherman, who is currently staying at Sacramento County Animal Care Services on Bradshaw Road, has been at the shelter since August 10  and is eagerly awaiting his chance to find a home where he can thrive.

According to his temporary family at the shelter, Sherman is a striking black-and-white male Husky, estimated to be just over one year old, weighing around 56 pounds. True to his breed, he is full of energy and curiosity. Sherman may be a bit reserved when meeting new dogs, but once he finds the right playmate, his goofy and playful side quickly emerges. A recent encounter with a young female dog brought out his fun-loving personality, and they enjoyed a lively time together.

Though Sherman is still polishing his leash skills, he walks fairly well and is making steady progress. This makes him a great companion for those who love outdoor activities and are seeking a dog with plenty of energy for adventures. Whether hiking, walking, or simply exploring the neighborhood, Sherman is sure to turn heads with his handsome appearance and charming personality.

For those who already have a dog and are looking for a new companion, Sherman could be a great fit. While he’s still warming up to other dogs, he has shown promising signs of socialization. The shelter invites interested adopters to bring their dog for a meet-and-greet to see if Sherman is the perfect match for their family.

To meet Sherman, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Adoptions are first-come, first-served, so be sure to bring a valid ID and note Sherman’s Animal ID number, along with those of any other dogs you might be interested in.
