This week’s Folsom Times Shelter Pet Spotlight, presented by Symmetry for Health of Folsom, features a loving Australian Kelpie mix named Spongebob. He’s looking to soak up love in his new forever home and is currently a resident at Sacramento County Animal Services’ Bradshaw Shelter.
Spongebob is a neutered male, and shelter staff estimate he’s about 4 months old. Australian Kelpies are medium-sized herding dogs from Australia, known for their athleticism, intelligence, and energetic personalities. They’re happiest when they have tasks to do, so don’t expect Spongebob to be a couch potato! He currently weighs about 23 pounds and arrived at the shelter on Oct. 13.
To meet Spongebob in person, visit Sacramento County Animal Care Services at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. The shelter is open for adoptions Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m., with extended hours until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Adoptions are first-come, first-served, so be sure to bring a valid ID and plan your visit soon.
By adopting Spongebob—or one of his shelter friends—you’ll not only add joy and love to your home but also help free up space for another pet in need. Spongebob just might be the perfect addition to your family.
