Celebrate mom with live music, dancing, and a charity mission at this Sunday’s Town Center concert
EL DORADO HILLS – Why settle for just brunch when you can also bust a move? This Mother’s Day, El Dorado Hills Town Center invites families and friends to swap the mimosas for music and celebrate mom with live entertainment, dancing, and a heartfelt cause at the 2nd Annual Mother’s Day Charity Concert & Dance Celebration.
Set for Sunday, May 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the EDH Town Center Amphitheater, this festive event features a live performance by The Spazmatics, the ultimate ‘80s cover band and one of the region’s most high-energy tribute acts.
Known for their quirky stage presence—complete with suspenders, bow ties, taped glasses, and a full embrace of geek-chic style—The Spazmatics deliver a show that’s equal parts nostalgia and outrageous fun. Their performances are a full-blown spectacle, blending expert musicianship with synchronized choreography and an interactive experience that keeps the crowd on their feet from start to finish. Whether they’re belting out Devo’s “Whip It,” Duran Duran’s “Hungry Like the Wolf,” or A-ha’s “Take On Me,” every song is performed with precision, transporting audiences straight back to the golden era of synth-pop and rock anthems.
What began in 1995 as a tribute to the quirky side of the ‘80s has since become a nationwide phenomenon. Today, multiple Spazmatics lineups perform across the country, bringing the same high-energy production and crowd-pleasing throwbacks to audiences from coast to coast. No matter the city, the band’s commitment to capturing the fun and flavor of the decade remains unmatched.
Presented by the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce and Lindora Wellness, the concert is more than just an evening of entertainment. It serves as a fundraiser for the Women’s Fund El Dorado, which supports access to health services for women across the county. Last year’s concert raised $10,000, and organizers hope to top that figure this year with the help of attendees and sponsors.
While admission to the concert is free, guests are encouraged to reserve a ticket through the official EVENT PAGE HERE to receive important updates and notifications leading up to the show.
In addition to the concert, attendees can participate in an online charity auction featuring a range of unique items and experiences. This year’s auction lineup includes a Costa Sur condo getaway, a ride-along boat experience with the El Dorado County Sheriff, a Junior Firefighter experience with EDH Fire, and VIP tickets to Sacramento Republic FC and the Sacramento Kings.
Whether you’re attending with mom, the whole family, or enjoying a fun evening out with friends, the Mother’s Day Charity Concert & Dance Celebration promises an uplifting atmosphere filled with music, dancing, and a powerful mission to support local women.
And the fun doesn’t stop there—this concert also kicks off a season full of music and entertainment at the EDH Town Center Amphitheater.
