The Folsom Murer House and Gardens is set to host its highly anticipated Annual Tea on Saturday, October 19. This year, the event will transport guests back to the glamour and charm of the “Golden Age of Hollywood,” focusing on the years 1930 to 1960. Held in the stunning gardens of the Historic Murer House, the theme invites attendees to imagine themselves dining among iconic stars of Hollywood’s past.

As you enjoy the beautiful surroundings, you might spot some the likes of some of Hollywood’s familiar faces, like Joan Crawford, Rita Hayworth, Clark Gable, or perhaps Frank Sinatra hanging around some of the area or select tables. This whimsical setting will make it feel like you’re truly surrounded by Hollywood royalty from the Golden Era.

The afternoon will feature a delicious three-course meal catered by Julian’s Patisserie & Simply Scones, ensuring a delightful culinary experience to accompany the festivities. In addition to the elegant tea service, the event will include a raffle, silent auction, and a special drawing for attendees.

Prizes will be awarded to guests for embodying the spirit of old Hollywood. Categories include “Most Glamorous,” “Most Look-Alike Hollywood Actor,” and “Most Oscar Worthy.” So, dust off your best vintage attire, channel your inner movie star, and prepare for a delightful afternoon filled with nostalgia and fun.

The Oct. 19 event starts at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $65 in advance and are expected to sell out soon. For more information and ticket reservations, contact the Murer House at infomurerhouse@gmail.com. The Historic Murer House is located at 1125 Joe Murer Court in Historic Folsom.
