Stretch Zone Folsom is marking a new chapter in its local presence with a grand re-opening celebration later this week, while also bringing attention to newly released nationwide research that underscores the measurable benefits of practitioner-assisted stretching.

The studio will host its community event Saturday, Feb. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 717 E. Bidwell St., Suite 2, welcoming local residents, healthcare partners, fitness professionals and business leaders to explore both the refreshed studio environment and the science behind its proprietary stretching methodology.

Organizers say the event is designed not only as a celebration, but also as an educational opportunity. Guests will be invited to tour the facility, meet the Stretch Zone team, enjoy refreshments and small bites, and enter prize giveaways. First-time guests will also have the opportunity to book a complimentary 30-minute stretch session, allowing them to experience the practitioner-assisted approach firsthand.

The timing of the event coincides with the release of findings known as “The Stretch Zone Effect,” described as one of the first large-scale studies examining real-world outcomes of guided, practitioner-assisted stretching. According to the research, consistent sessions can produce measurable improvements in mobility, flexibility and overall physical well-being.

Among the study’s reported findings, 85 percent of participants experienced improved range of motion with regular sessions. Participants also saw significant flexibility gains, including an average 8–11 degree improvement in back flexion. In addition to measurable physical changes, many respondents reported reduced physical discomfort, improved sleep quality and increased daily energy levels. The data further showed a clear correlation between the frequency of stretching sessions and improved outcomes, suggesting consistency plays a key role in long-term benefits.

“These findings reinforce what we see every day in our studio,” said Ornin Hormozi, franchise owner at Stretch Zone Folsom. “People aren’t just feeling better — they’re moving better, sleeping better, and gaining confidence in how their bodies perform in everyday life. We’re proud to bring evidence-based wellness to the Folsom community.”

Stretch Zone specializes in practitioner-assisted stretching, a guided technique designed to safely increase range of motion, support joint health and enhance functional movement. Unlike traditional self-stretching routines, the method utilizes trained practitioners who stabilize and position the body to isolate specific muscle groups, helping clients achieve deeper, more effective stretches in a controlled environment.

The approach is utilized by individuals across a wide range of ages and activity levels, including athletes seeking performance gains, active adults working to maintain mobility, and seniors focused on balance, flexibility and overall quality of life. Studio representatives note that improving range of motion and functional movement can also play a role in injury prevention and long-term physical health.

Beyond celebrating its updated presence in Folsom, the Feb. 21 grand re-opening offers an opportunity for community members and healthcare partners to connect directly with the team, ask questions about the research, and better understand how mobility and flexibility fit into a comprehensive wellness strategy.
