Folsom’s Powerhouse Ministries is first beneficiary of 20th Anniversary giveaway

Style Media Group, a regional media company that calls Folsom home, has begun celebrating its 20th anniversary in the community by giving back to the communities it serves. 

In honor of their 20-year milestone, co-founders Terry Carroll and Wendy Sipple are gifting a total of $10,000 to local charities over a period of 10 consecutive months. Each charity will receive a $1000 donation. 

Surrounded by members of their staff, along with members of the business community and Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Carroll presented the first donation of the campaign, the receipt was Powerhouse Ministries of Folsom.

“Giving back has been part of our business model since we started the company, said Carroll.”  Through the years, Style has awarded cash, scholarships and space in its magazines and websites to more than 1700 businesses, artists, and charities over the past 20 years, totaling more than $1.4 million in various gifts and sponsorships.

“We’re honored to continue this tradition as we celebrate our 20th year in business.”

Powerhouse Ministries has been part of the Folsom Community now for 30-years. The Christian based non-profit offers a variety of difference resources and programs to continue its mission of offering hope and help to those trapped in crime, addiction, abuse, poverty and other tough situations.  Those that want to learn more about them can do so by visiting their website at www.phmfolsom.org.

Style Media Group publishes Style Magazine, a monthly lifestyle publication that covers fashion, beauty, home décor, food, wine, local business and entertainment.
