Production takes place beneath the stars to kick off annual tradition 

As the summer season draws to a close, students at John Adams Academy in El Dorado Hills are preparing to bring one of William Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies to life.

The academy’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Henry Flores, marks the debut of “Shakespeare Under the Stars,” an event Flores hopes will become an annual tradition. The outdoor performance will feature a talented cast of students from 7th to 12th grade, with 50 scholars participating both on stage and behind the scenes. This exciting local production promises to capture the magic and mischief of Shakespeare’s timeless play.

Performances will take place on Thursday, September 19th at 7 p.m., Friday, September 20th at 7 p.m., and Saturday, September 21st at 7 p.m. Tickets are now available for purchase online at www.johnadamsacademy.org, and early purchase is recommended. Ticket prices are $5 for students and $10 for adults. While online purchases are preferred, cash tickets will also be sold at the gate.

The outdoor event will be held at 1104 Investment Blvd, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. Gates open at 6:15 p.m., and guests are encouraged to bring low-back chairs and blankets for comfort. Food vendors will be available before the show, offering a perfect pre-show dining experience.
