High-energy dance hits, rock tributes, and blues legends pack the Powerhouse stage July 25–27
One of the hottest weekends of live music this summer is ready to take over Powerhouse in Historic Folsom as the popular entertainment venue delivers a full slate of dynamic performances from Friday through Sunday. Anchoring the weekend are crowd-favorite headliners Adam Aldama & The Aces and Superbad, bringing high-impact shows that promise to keep the dance floor pulsing long after the music stops.
Kicking off the action on Friday night is the TGIF Early Show at Powerhouse featuring Sunset River Band at 7:00 p.m.. Known for their electrifying live performances, Sunset River Band brings unmatched energy and passion to the stage, creating an unforgettable experience. With a dedication to top-notch entertainment and a rock-driven sound, they’re the perfect way to start the weekend.

Later Friday evening, Adam Aldama & The Aces take the spotlight at 10:00 p.m. for a high-energy Celebration of Hip Hop set. Known for rotating theme shows like “The Red Corvettes” (Prince tribute) and “Finesse” (Bruno Mars/Michael Jackson), the five-piece band—led by Aldama and joined by Veronica Ballejos, Brett Sackett, Keywan Ryland, and Jimmy O’Shea—delivers nonstop dance-floor favorites. Their engaging performance style and nostalgia-packed setlists make them a standout in any lineup.
Saturday brings even more excitement with the Saturday Afternoon Dance Party at 3:00 p.m., featuring Halfway Inn. This tribute band serves up a mix of “epic rock bands” from across the decades, giving fans big riffs, big vocals, and a big arena-style vibe that will keep the dance floor busy all afternoon.

Headlining the night is none other than Superbad, hitting the stage at 10:00 p.m. A favorite across Northern California, this high-energy dance band is led by six-foot-six frontman Henry Lange, whose bold stage presence and infectious charisma get the crowd moving from the first song. From the ’70s through today, Superbad brings a funky, feel-good party with every performance, blending soul, pop, and dance hits into an irresistible groove.

The weekend wraps with the Powerhouse of Blues on Sunday at 3:00 p.m., as Red’s Blues takes the stage with special guest Steve Freund. This all-Hall-of-Fame lineup from the Sacramento Blues Society brings a finger-poppin’ blend of Americana roots, swing, and traditional blues. Freund, a celebrated torchbearer of Chicago blues, adds masterful guitar work and soulful vocals that make this blues showcase one not to miss.

Red’s Blues draw their audiences into a grown-up music world—southern music with downhome simmer, dance floor fun and stellar, sophisticated players who know they have no need to blast at earsplitting volumes to make the biggest impact.
From Friday’s throwback rock and hip hop celebration to Saturday’s dance-fueled party and Sunday’s soul-stirring blues, Powerhouse is the place to be this weekend in Historic Folsom. All shows are 21 and over. For tickets and full event details, visit www.powerhousepub.com.
