The City of Folsom has released its schedule of closures and changes in services for the Thanksgiving holiday, including adjustments to city offices, transit, and recreational facilities.

City administrative offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29. For urgent city matters during this time, residents can call 916-461-6400. In the case of life-threatening emergencies, the public is reminded to call 9-1-1.

Garbage collection will proceed as usual, with residents asked to place their bins curbside by 6 a.m. on their regular service day.

Transit services via the Folsom Stage Line, operated by SacRT, will not be available on Thanksgiving Day, November 28.

Other notable closures include the Folsom Fire Department administrative services, which will be closed on Thursday and Friday. The Folsom Public Library will close early on Wednesday, November 27, at 5 p.m., and remain closed on Thursday and Friday, November 28 and 29.

For those looking to enjoy local attractions, the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary will host its annual “Feast for the Animals” event on Thanksgiving Day, open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The zoo will return to regular hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday through Sunday.

The Andy Morin Sports Complex will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday but will be closed Thursday through Sunday. Similarly, the Steve Miklos Aquatic Center will close on Thursday and Friday, with lap swimming available on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

The Folsom Skate and Bike Parks will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, with limited hours—1 p.m. to 5 p.m.—on Friday, before resuming normal hours over the weekend. The Folsom Senior Center, Folsom Art Center, and Gallery at 48 Natoma will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Additionally, the Folsom Parks and Recreation Department’s Fun Factory, Kindergarten Readiness, and after-school CAVE programs will not be held during the holiday week.
