El Dorado Hills will turn into the region’s biggest dance party this Thursday, July 31, as The Cheeseballs take over the stage at the Town Center Amphitheater for another electric edition of Live on the Boulevard. Known for their infectious energy, dazzling setlists, and crowd-moving performances, the San Francisco-based band is ready to bring funk, soul, and nonstop fun to the heart of EDH.
With thousands of successful shows to their name, The Cheeseballs have built a legendary reputation as one of the top high-energy dance bands on the West Coast. Whether playing sold-out clubs, private parties, corporate galas, or massive public events across the U.S. and beyond, their ability to ignite a crowd is unmatched.
At the core of their sound is a dynamic blend of funk, soul, R&B, and pop—all delivered with a fresh, modern twist. Their playlist is a journey through generations of feel-good hits, from 60s Motown and 80s new wave to today’s chart-toppers. Expect to hear everything from ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” and Etta James’ “At Last” to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and Camila Cabello’s “Havana.” This is a band that can move a dance floor with timeless classics and keep it packed with current favorites.
The Cheeseballs have performed from Mexico to Canada, Costa Rica to Las Vegas, Philadelphia to Hawaii—bringing their signature energy to fundraisers, weddings, corporate parties, and festivals of every size. From small wine country weddings to Fortune 500 company events, they are one of the most in-demand live bands in the country.
Now, they’re bringing that same high-voltage show to El Dorado Hills, and it’s all free for the community to enjoy.
The concert runs from 7 to 9 p.m., with amphitheater gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests can join the online waitlist by visiting the event page HERE on the day of the show. The waitlist opens at noon and allows up to four guests per registration.
All bags must be clear plastic or smaller than 8x6x1 inches, and all beverages must be purchased on-site. Outside alcohol, drinks, and coolers are not permitted. Food and beverage vendors will be available throughout the evening.
The Town Center Amphitheater is located at 4364 Town Center Blvd in El Dorado Hills and continues to serve as the heart of Live on the Boulevard, the community’s 12-week Thursday night concert tradition. For more information and concert registration, visit HERE.
