A holiday tradition will continue this season as the Folsom High School Music Boosters are getting jazzed up to present the annual Holiday Music Festival of the Arts and tickets are already selling for this longtime local favorite.
This year, the event is slated for Tuesday, Dec. 12th at the Jill Solberg Performing Arts Center located on the Folsom High School campus located at 1999 Iron Point road. The program is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
As it has in past years, the showcase will offer spectators an evening of entertainment that issure to get them into the holiday spirit. Presented by the Folsom High School Music Boosters, the Holiday Music Festival of the Arts will feature a share of jazz, orchestra and vocal numbers performed by Folsom High School’s award-winning music ensembles.
Among the groups performing will be the Folsom High School Jazz Band 1, 2 the Jazz Choir, Concert Band and Marching Band as well as various duets and ensembles. During the many numbers, art is usually brought to life on stage to complete a festive visual for all to enjoy.
The evening provided the audience with plenty of holiday spirit and a true showcase of the talented musicians in the Folsom community while benefiting the boosters program.
All proceeds from the annual concert go toward supporting the Folsom High School music program that is responsible for putting on the event. Folsom High School musicians are recognized, year after year, as the top high-school jazz program in the country.
