There is some “berry” good news for Folsom residents that enjoy healthy dining options. TruBowl Superfood Bar, a health-centric chain known for its acai bowls and smoothies, has launched its first Northern California location at Folsom’s Palladio shopping center. 

The company, based in Southern California, shared their excitement in an online post that is already drawing vistors to check them out during their soft opening in Folsom. “We’re so thrilled to kick off our soft opening and warmly welcome you in,” they said.

The new addition brings a fresh, nutritious option to the growing lineup of restaurants at the Palladio, with an emphasis on plant-based ingredients and customizable superfood bowls. 

Sacramento resident Lindai Do and her husband Cassidy Chan are the local franchisees of the Folsom location. The family’s interest in the company started after visiting one its locations as a customer previously. Folsom’s growing community and the the Palladio soon became an ideal place to open what is the very first norcal location for the franchise. 

The menu centers on superfoods such as acai, pitaya, coconut, and chia, with fresh fruits, nuts, and seeds as toppings, allowing customers to customize bowls or select popular choices like the EZ-Tru Bowl, featuring a base of Brazilian acai, cold oats, and chia pudding.

The Island Bowl is another favorite, blending tropical flavors like pitaya, mango, and coconut with goji berries. TruBowl also offers a variety of smoothies, cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, organic matcha, and coffee. Prices range from around five dollars for shots to $15 for signature bowls. TruBowl is located near the longstanding Vampire Penguin dessert shop and Seaquest Folsom aquarium in the Palladio, not far from the movie theater and the Piazza and will surely attract families, fitness enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a nutritious option in of Folsom. The location operates daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays at this time.

TruBowl joins other new additions to the Palladio, with Shake Shack slated to open its 3,699-square-foot fast-casual restaurant on November 20. Originally a New York hot dog cart, Shake Shack has grown into an international phenomenon with over 400 locations. The new restaurant will employ 50 people and celebrate its opening by donating $1 from every burger sold to the Twin Lakes Food Bank.

On November 14, children’s apparel brand Carter’s will also open a 3,603-square-foot store, offering clothing for newborns and toddlers.

Palladio’s holiday season kicks off November 23 with its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by a Santa Claus Photo Experience daily through Christmas Eve. December 15 brings a Big Band Jazz Christmas performance from 5 to 7 p.m., and a Menorah Lighting on December 25 from 6 to 7 p.m. will complete the season’s festivities, inviting the community to celebrate together.

With TruBowl and these upcoming attractions, Folsom’s Palladio continues to grow as a vibrant, family-friendly destination for shopping, dining, and holiday events.
