A beautiful evening under the stars and a perfect spring breeze set the scene for one of the community’s great traditions as the 23rd annual Folsom Wine and Jazz event brought music, flavor, and community spirit to Historic Folsom Friday evening.

Presented by the Folsom High School Music Boosters, the event once again filled the Zittel Family Amphitheater with the sounds of award-winning jazz and the clinking of glasses, all in support of music education. Guests mingled beneath string lights, sampled wine and beer from regional producers, enjoyed small bites from local restaurants, and soaked up stellar performances from Folsom High School’s jazz bands and jazz choir, directed by Gaw Vang Williams.

Giving guests took part in the silent auction, placing bids on donated items and experiences to raise funds for the school’s growing music programs. The participation added an exciting and engaging element to the evening, as attendees competed in good spirits to support the cause.

Throughout the venue, tables offered generous pours of local wines and brews, paired with appetizer offerings from a variety of area restaurants. The atmosphere was both festive and relaxed, as guests roamed freely between tastings and performances while reconnecting with neighbors and friends.

The Zittel Family Amphitheater once again provided a charming backdrop as the community came together once again to celebrate young musical talent. Free parking and easy access made it convenient for visitors to explore the district before and after the event, many of whom took advantage of nearby shops and dining options.

The Wine and Jazz night served as both a showcase of student talent and a community fundraiser that underscored the importance of supporting the arts being one of the organization’s key annual fundraisers. Proceeds from the evening went directly toward sustaining Folsom High’s highly regarded music program, with help from the Folsom High School Music Boosters—a nonprofit organization that has supported local music students for more than 20 years.

Total funds raised from Friday’s event will be tallied in the week again once all auction items have been finalized.  The annual event has always produced well for the organization. For more information on how to support the Folsom High School Music Boosters, visit folsommusic.org
